Titled "Serenity" this painting came from my travels to hawaii. I fell in love with the insanely gorgeous sunsets in Kailua Kona Hawaii when we visited the Big Island.
Before I went to full time creating art in 2021, I'd been painting part time for 10 years. My husband and I also ran a wedding photography business together. We had booked a destination wedding in Hawaii and I was so excited to visit! We stayed a few extra days to make a vacation out of it and crossed off some big bucket list items like hiking Waipio valley, swimming with manta rays at night and visiting all the coffee farms!
I promised myself that I would begin painting the ocean after that visit, and this sunset painting was my second ocean scene. I really wanted to do a large piece with vivid color and depth that portrayed the emotions and beauty of my sunset experiences. Oil on canvas, the original piece is 30x40 on gallery wrapped canvas. All originals are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
