Alaska From Above
This piece is so important to me. It's the painting that, through the process of creating it stretched me as an artist and made me want to create full time.
There were probably at least 5 reference photos and knew I wanted to create a contemporary+realistic mountain scene. Completely drawn to some videos I'd seen of frozen arctic mountain ranges in Alaska I decided to sketch out my scene, being careful to allow the negative spaces here to dominate.
I named it "Alaska from Above". the original is a sizable 40x30 piece mostly painted with palette knives.
All of my art prints are locally printed and hand inspected, FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council) and are crafted with archival-quality materials. Showcasing stunning color and intricate details that mirror the depth and beauty of the original paintings. Each piece reflects a dedication to quality and authenticity.
